Clip1:
Following a pterional craniotomy, It is preferable to drill away the sphenoidal ridge and the anterior clinoid (as in the case of ophthalmic aneurysm).
Archnoidal dissection of the basal cisterns exposes the int. carotid
Clip2:
The aneurysm is exposed and clipped; no attempt is made to visualize the 3rd nerve; even minimum handling will damage the nerve
