Clip1:

The patient is positioned supine with the head turned to the left; through a retromastoid incision, the triangle at the base of skull, behind the trigeminal nerve, is drilled to facilitate more room and less brain retraction.

Clip2:

The dura is opened and the CSF is drained; the petrosal sinus is exposed, coagulated and cut.

Clip3:

The dome of the aneurysm and the 6th nerve, and  later the 5th nerve are seen. The aneurysm is clipped.
